Brad Paisley Continuing His Superstar Status.

Brad Paisley, the singer of the famous song "Alcohol", is becoming more and more popular with his superstar status. He claimed six nominations for the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, leaving Heidi Newfield, Trick Pony vocalist, in second place with five nominations. The nominees were announced Wednesday, February 11, 2009 on the CBS news program, The Early Show. A few country singers got together and revealed the nominees, they were: Julianne Hough, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson. The nominations were revealed during a conference at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville. He won two Grammy Awards February 8, 2009 in Los Angeles. Paisley was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards entertainer of the year, male vocalist, his song "Waitin' on a Woman" for single record, song and video of the year and him and Keith Urban were nominated for vocal event of the year for their new hit "Start a Band."
